Dorothy A. Pucci, age 88, of Seymour entered into rest on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Gardner Heights with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of 68 years to Henry Pucci. Mrs. Pucci was born in Bridgeport on December 26, 1930 daughter of the late Otto and Frances (Solmo) Veglio. She was a soloist and actress for many years in Bridgeport on local radio, stage and dinner theatres and was also a finalist in the Jenny Lind Contest in 1950. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She is the beloved mother of Kathleen Pucci, Henry Pucci and his wife Carol, Christine Schneider and her husband Thomas and the late Gary Pucci, mother-n-law of Rene Pucci and sister of Otto Veglio, Jr. and Lillian Torricelli. Mrs. Pucci is the loving grandmother of Frank and Michelle Celini, Jaime Hrubala, Lisa Filarsky, Gary Pucci, Jr., Shane and Sarah Pucci, and Tom Schneider, Dana Degennaro and Lee Schneider and great grandmother of, William, Emma, Morgan, Bella, Shane, Jr., Connor, Laila and Jayce. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Pucci was predeceased by a brother Vincent Veglio and a sister Elizabeth Iacomacci. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Friday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Assumption Church.
